Jimmy Fallon Took Bob Dylan to The Circus: Watch

Or did he?

While you were dozing on the couch after dinner, or arguing with your Uncle Ted about tariffs, Jimmy Fallon was spending a quiet Thanksgiving night with none other than Bob Dylan. The rock titan joined Fallon for a special command performance of The Big Apple Circus on Thursday’s (Nov. 22) Tonight Show, with the two men taking in the tumbling and trapeze work all by themselves while sharing a neat tumbler or two of Dylan’s signature Heaven’s Door whiskey.

The two don’t really talk during the bit, cued to the melancholy piano composition “Lent Et Douloureauz” by French composer Erik Satie. But they do slowly sip their drinks and marvel at the aerialists, and at the end Fallon gets up to clap, looking around, saying, “Bob? Bob? Where’s Bob?” as he realizes his drinking buddy has vanished. “There’s nobody there,” the ringmaster tells him. “There was never anybody there.”
