Lena Dunham dances up a storm to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallions song WAP – Daily Mail

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s new song features provocative lyrics that center on sexual female empowerment with very graphic innuendos for sex.

And on Friday, Lena Dunham applauded the rappers for the anthem as she danced up a storm while wearing a swimsuit that said ‘sex’ on the front of it.

The actress/producer, 34, captioned the clip: ‘You cannot listen to WAP and not just want to shake it/celebrate the normalization of female desire!’

She continued: ‘Go off @iamcardib and @theestallion!! in my Sex suit by my beloved @christopherkane.’

Lena rocked the white and black logo bathing suit, adding two necklaces with her brunette locks pulled back into a bun and her fringe grazing her forehead.

The star was outside in the swimsuit and added water, eggplant, fire, angel, peaches and red lip kisses emojis.

Lena clapped her hand and shook her shoulders before leaning forward slightly and shaking her hips.

Lena’s dance clip comes after CeeLo Green criticized the song as he questioned the musical content of Megan, Cardi and fellow rapper Nicki Minaj.

He told Far Out magazine that he was questioning whether the trio of female rappers should be considered as role models due to the ‘shameless’ content of their music.

The 45-year-old Atlanta native said: ‘A lot of music today is very unfortunate and disappointing on a personal and moral level.

‘There was once a time when we were savvy enough to code certain things. We could express to those it was meant for with the style of language we used. But now music is shameless, it is sheer savagery.’

The F*** You hitmaker did not hold back as he continued to slam them for their sexual expression going so far as to call them desperate.

CeeLo explained: ‘It’s problematic, we suffer from it because there are those that have nothing to do with it, but it is assumed of everyone. You have the ‘Heads of State,’ like Nicki Minaj or someone who is up there in accolade: success, visibility, a platform to influence. Nicki could be effective in so many other constructive ways, but it feels desperate.

‘Attention is also a drug and competition is around…Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, they are all more or less doing similar salacious gesturing to kinda get into position. I get it, the independent woman and being in control, the divine femininity and sexual expression. I get it all, [but] it comes at what cost?’

Megan took to her Twitter after the harsh criticism, writing: ‘Lol dudes will scream “slob on my k***” word for word and crying abt WAP [laughing while crying emoji] bye lil boy.’

Slob On My K*** is a 1999 song by Three 6 Mafia about receiving oral sex from a male perspective.

However, he apologized soon and addressed the controversy, trying to make amends with the three female rappers.

CeeLo released a social media statement on Wednesday as he said there was a ‘misunderstanding’ about his comments and that he is actually a ‘fan’ of Cardi, Megan and Nicki.

He wrote: ‘I know most of them personally and consider Cardi & Offset family. Therefore, I would never disrespect them by any means. I acknowledge them all as powerful, beautiful and influential women…and professionals.’

‘I wholeheartedly apologize to each of them for the inconvenience they have been caused due to a snippet of my interview being used as a headline, and in turn creating controversy and disconnect between me and these ladies as well as their fans.

‘Know that I support everyone who is part of our community & culture. Always have and always will!’

He also called himself an ‘advocate of artistic freedom and expression’ in the Instagram post.

CeeLo concluded: ‘Much love to all of the female artists who are running the game and handling their business. With Love, Lo.’
