Paul Pogba warned by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – The Busby Babe

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer warned Paul Pogba that he won’t want to end his career with regrets.

Pogba has been in poor form for United since his arrival from Juventus but in his last substitute appearance and his last Premier League start he looked something like a player who wanted to be at Old Trafford.

This is despite regular reports that he wants out of the club and would prefer to move to Real Madrid or back to Juventus.

However the coronavirus plus the low standard of his form seem to have put paid to the chances of any move in the near term, and he may now sign a new deal to stay at United.

Solskjaer said:

“Paul knows he’s a special talent and he doesn’t want to in five or ten years time look back and think I didn’t make the most of it.

“He is a already a World Cup winner, he has won things with Juventus and us so I’m not surprised by his enthusiasm and dedication to us.

“We are looking to keep Paul here and we are looking to keep the best players here anyway.”

“The two can play well together and that is exciting,” the United manager said of Pogba and new signing Bruno Fernandes playing together. “There will be rotations and times when Paul will play up with Bruno sometimes deeper, sometimes he will play in a diamond.

“But of course it has been encouraging to see them together but its also encouraging to see how Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay and Fred are making it difficult for me to leave them out which is good for me a coach.”

United will play Norwich City in the FA Cup final, with the chance for Solskjaer to get closer to his first silverware as manager of the club.
