Whos Practicing, Whos Not vs. Bengals – BaltimoreRavens.com

There’s a reason why they call the AFC North the black and blue division.

Three days after playing the Steelers, the Ravens had nine players sit out Wednesday’s practice before facing another AFC North foe, the Cincinnati Bengals, this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.

Four of those absences are non-injury related veteran rest days, but that still leaves five banged-up players still dealing with issues.

Tight end Mark Andrews was listed as having a shoulder injury, which adds to the foot ailment he was seemingly just getting past. Andrews left Sunday’s game in Pittsburgh after a hard fall to the turf, but later returned.

Wide receiver Marquise Brown, who also left the game after taking a big hit on his touchdown grab, missed Wednesday’s practice because of his ankle. It’s at least not the foot injury that held him out of much of summer activities.

Two new additions to the report are linebacker Patrick Onwuasor (ankle) and cornerback Maurice Canady (thigh).

Cornerback Jimmy Smith (knee) also still has not returned to practice after suffering his injury in Week 1 in Miami. Head Coach John Harbaugh said he has received a status update on Smith’s condition, but he didn’t want to share.

“I wouldn’t want to speculate on it exactly because you just can’t say for sure,” Harbaugh said. “I’d just say he’s doing well, and I’ve got my fingers crossed for soon.”

Safety Earl Thomas III, guard Marshal Yanda, running back Mark Ingram II and cornerback Brandon Carr were the players who received the day off.

Bengals Offensive Line Is Banged Up

The Bengals have already ruled out wide receiver A.J. Green as he continues to rehab after ankle surgery. They are also without wide receiver John Ross III. Starting safety Shawn Williams (thigh) did not practice Wednesday.

The Bengals’ already hampered offensive line is banged up with starting left tackle Cordy Glenn (concussion), starting left guard Michael Jordan (ankle) and starting right guard John Miller (groin) all limited.

Starting linebacker Nick Vigil (ankle) and wide receiver Alex Erickson (concussion) were also limited.
